Sachin Pilot lands in Silchar; "Assam's biggest necessity is employment opportunities," Guarantees Jobs
Lieutenant Sachin Rajesh Pilot who was the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan and also President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee has reached Silchar. He is a star campaigner for Tamal Kanti Banik.
He started his speech by paying a tribute to former union minister Sontosh Mohan Dev. “While landing at this stadium I saw the name of Sontosh Mohan Dev. He has been a strong representative of Assam in Delhi,” Pilot said. He also praised Sushmita Dev several times during his speech.
Then he spoke about Congress’ guarantees and emphasised on employment. “Today, Assam’s biggest necessity is employment opportunities. We are here to represent the youth of Assam,” said Pilot. “Don’t get lured into the promises that won’t be fulfilled for sure. It is my guarantee that we will provide two lakh government jobs and 50% of them will be for the women,” he added.
Pilot navigated through other promises and had a brief stop at Himanta Biswa Sarma. “People here wanted a change and gave BJP five years to exhibit good governance. But now the people are confused as to who is running this government – one who is the chief minister or the one who wants to be the chief minister,” said Pilot.
For the youth of Silchar and especially the ones who gathered at Satindra Mohan Dev Memorial Stadium, he urged them to grab the opportunity of electing a young and dynamic MLA like Tamal Kanti Banik. “I urge you all to vote for Tamal Kanti Banik and lead him to victory. We are forming the government in Assam and it is up to you to make Tamal Kanti Banik a part of that government,” said Sachin Pilot.
The way he concluded his speech also makes it clear that he is here to further divide the Hindu votes and swing them in favour of Congress’ Tamal Kanti Banik. “Jai Hindi, Ram Rasa,” he said before waving his hand and walking off the stage. Now Pilot will join candidate Tamal Kanti Banik for a roadshow in Silchar.
