Schools in Barak Valley can participate in 17 different events at NIT's Technoesis

During Tecnoesis, the annual techno-management festival of NIT Silchar, an inter school competition ‘School Genius’ is also organised for young students.

It aims at bringing out the most tech efficient school of the Barak Valley. School Genius will see a plethora of events that will test the blooming technical skills of the students and
attempt to uncover the hidden talents in them.

It also provides a platform that nurtures the aptitude and talents of the young minds. From technical, poetic, creative skills to testing entrepreneurship, investigative mind and photographic sense, School Genius will have competitions for everyone.

A total of 17 events have been planned, along with few prelims. The interesting names of the competitions include Flip-a-cell, Scientific Dig, Teenpreneur, Start Up Buzz, Crime Scene Investigation, Almanac of Evolution, Taskabet Prelims Logo Hunt, Xeng Prelims GreyFuzz, What if?, Spell Bee, Spoken Poetry, TECHart, ShutterWorld, Maths Pirates, Crusade, Xtreme Typing and Picture Perception.

A member of the organising team informed to us that they have personally invited more than 20 schools. And for others on-spot registration will also be available. All students would be required to wear their school uniform and carry their identity card. No restriction has been decided upon the number of participants from each school.
