Scooter-Truck head-on collision: Two individuals brutally injured

In a tragic turn of affairs, a Suzuki Access traveling towards Silchar Medical College and Hospital from Rangirkhari has collided head-on with a truck coming from the other side. The incident happened today afternoon in front of United Flour Mill in Meherpur Silchar.

As per latest available information, the rider and pillion sustained serious injuries and is admitted in Silchar Medical College and Hospital in critical condition. The newly bought vehicle is registered under Cachar DTO with AS 11 P 0710 as its registration number. According to locals, the two-wheeler was coming from Nagapatty. The rider lost his control and collided with the 407 truck.

Cachar resident, Sanjib Sikdar is the owner of the vehicle. However, 50-year-old Sajeeb Sikdar was riding the bike. He is an employee of PHE and a resident of Kolkata, living in Silchar for professional purposes. The other person injured is yet to be identified. As per the latest information, Police is trying to identify his family members while they are being treated in SMCH
