SDRF cut through frame to recover dead body of autorickshaw driver; 25-year-old dies after colliding with parked truck

Horrific accident in Silchar Udharbond’s Pangram area claims one life. Late last night, a speeding autorickshaw collided with parked truck.

As per available information, Debu Das, a resident of Silchar’s Chengcoorie Road was riding the autorickshaw. He had dropped a set of passengers and while returning, met with the accident. The 25-year-old lost his life on the spot.

Locals spotted the accident and informed the Police about the same. The officials rushed to the spot, however, failed to recover the dead body of the autorickshaw driver as he got trapped. “The front end of the autorickshaw got damaged to the extent that the knee of the driver got stuck with the body of the vehicle,” informed the Police officer.

Soon the SDRF was informed about the accident and the jawans rushed to the spot. After a prolonged effort, the jawans managed to cut the frame of the autorickshaw and recover the dead body of the victim.

The accident happened in front of the Bandhan Bank, and the dead body has been sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
