Silchar boy Biswajit Paul's body found hanging in a PG in Tinsukia

Sad news coming in from Tinsukia. A 26-year-old Silchar boy Biswajit Paul, who went missing on January 12, 2020, is no more. National Highway Road’s Biswajit Paul is the son of Sudipa and Ajit Kumar Paul. Originally they are residents of Bilpar area but recently they shifted to their new house in National Highway Road.

Biswajit Paul was working with a private organisation and used to stay as a paying guest in a hostel near Pine Wood Hospital. His family did not hear from him Sunday onwards and hence they lodged a Police complaint too. A neighbouring shop’s CCTV camera captured him walking out of the hostel on Sunday evening.

At around 3:00 PM yesterday, Biswajit Paul’s body was found hanging inside an unused room of the hostel. The locals informed police about the body and the officials recovered it and sent it for postmortem.

This raises plenty of questions. Why did the police not search the hostel after the complaint was lodged? Did he commit suicide or his body was planted? Is there a bigger conspiracy? Police officials investigating the case refuse to speculate at this stage and said they will only comment after thorough investigation.
