Silchar - Dharmanagar passenger train service to resume from January 4; Will leave Silchar at 5:30 every Tuesday and Friday

For the first time since the COVID disruption in March 2020, Silchar – Dharmanagar passenger train to restore services. The Northeast Frontier Railways have announced that the Silchar – Dharmanagar passenger services will be restored from January 4.

The train will leave from Silchar Railway Station for Dharmanagar every Tuesday and Friday. The train will leave from Silchar at 5:30 pm and reach Dharmanagar at 10:35 pm. On its way it will halt at Badarpur, New Karimganj, Karimganj, Patharkandi, Churaibari and Dharmanagar along with commercial stops at other railway stations.

Similarly, the biweekly passenger train from Dharmanagar will leave at 5:30 am every Wednesday and Saturday. The services will start from January 5, 2022.

This train will help the daily commuters and traders. Road transportation is expensive and so the traders and daily commuters have been suffering due to the disruption in the passenger train services.
