Silchar Drug Bust: Cachar Police, Military Intellegence Kolkata Collaboration Leads to Two Arrests
For many years, Cachar Police has been actively combating narcotics, consistently achieving positive outcomes. Once again, they successfully intercepted a vehicle involved in drug trafficking, leading to the arrest of two individuals.
In a joint operation between Cachar Police and Military Intelligence from Kolkata, the focus was on the Sildubi area. The operation resulted in the interception of an intra-vehicle with registration number MZ05A 8291. Authorities discovered 30 soap cases, each weighing approximately 600 grams, cleverly concealed in specially designed secret chambers within the vehicle.
Following this significant discovery, Cachar Police arrested two individuals connected to the case – Lallungsang (43 years old) and Pajona (37 years old).
The estimated value of the seized narcotics in the black market is around 2 crores, and they were being transported from Champai district in Mizoram. Fortunately, authorities were able to halt their transportation. However, it is crucial to recognize that this success may only be the beginning.
The smuggling of illegal narcotics remains a substantial societal issue. While applauding the authorities for stopping this transportation, it is essential to consider addressing the root source for a more lasting solution.
This successful operation underscores the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies in curbing the menace of drug trafficking. Further investigations are underway to dismantle the entire network involved in this illicit trade.
Authorities are unwavering in their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community by persistently pursuing those engaged in illegal activities. This recent operation sends a robust message that law enforcement remains watchful and resolute in combatting the narcotics trade.
