Silchar on high alert ahead of Cyclone Mora

Residents of Silchar are currently in an alert mode. Reports suggest that Cyclone Mora, the storm that brought devastation in Sri Lanka, and claimed the lives of at-least 164 people, now centres near Bangladesh coast. It is also likely to hit North East region within a few hours.

Authorities have suggested that people stay indoors and brace themselves of the impending wrath of the nature.

As per the weather officials, heavy rain is expected in Bangladesh, Northeast India and Myanmar.
