Sleeping Bandit: School Thief in Cachar Caught Napping Above Cupboard

For the townspeople, leaving their houses unattended has become a challenge due to the fear of burglary. In such a situation, catching thieves without much hassle might be a wish. This wish unexpectedly came true when a thief was found sleeping on a school cupboard where he had intended to steal.

The incidents of theft have reached their peak, with thieves targeting homes and, surprisingly, even schools. Schools, meant for education and nurturing responsible citizens, are now not spared from these criminal activities. Ambika Charan High School in the Katigorah area has been a repeated target of a particular thief who had been stealing various school equipment, managing to evade the law every time.

The thief had stolen a school fan and various items from the school laboratory. On a recent attempt to carry out his daily stealing routine at school, he felt the cold of the winter night and decided to take a nap. Little did he know that this nap would extend longer than he anticipated.

During school hours on January 17, around 11 o’clock, the headmaster of the high school entered the laboratory room and discovered an individual sleeping on top of one of the cupboards. It soon became evident that the intruder was none other than the infamous school thief. With the assistance of other teachers and staff, they managed to detain him on the school premises until the police arrived.

Upon receiving the information, the police reached the location and apprehended the man. Subsequent investigation revealed that the alleged thief was a resident of Badarpur, identified as Raju Kar. Further inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
