Sonai’s Sorupam Sharma Missing In Bengaluru For Over A Week, Family Appeals For Help 

A 20-year-old youth, P. Sorupam Sharma of Berabak Part III, Nagdirgram, Chandpur GP of Sonai in Cachar has been missing for over a week as of December 26, while working in Indira Nagar, Bengaluru. He was employed there as a support staff at a hotel. His mobile phone (84728 71617) has remained switched off since December 19, 2025, causing growing concern among his family.

According to his mother, Pishaktombi Sharma, Sorupam last spoke to her over the phone shortly before going missing. Recalling the conversation, she said, “When I spoke to him, he told me, ‘Mummy, my salary has come. How much money should I send you?’ I said anything would do. He then sent Rs. 5,000.” Making an emotional appeal, she added, “I humbly request everyone to please find my son and bring him back home.”

Sorupam, the sole earning member of the family following the death of his father, had gone to Bengaluru for work to support his household.

On December 26, 2025, his mother submitted a missing report at Sonai Police Station, seeking immediate intervention from the authorities.
