Sukanta Lane in Tarapur declared containment zone, administration seals nearby areas
A 65-year-old woman named Archana Nandi of Tarapur Sukanta Lane and a child from Kashipur Badripar area from Cachar District were found to be corona positive on Saturday. In order to contain the spread of the disease, Sukanta Lane area of Tarapur has been declared as a Containment Zone, which will be immediately sealed.
Similarly, the area around Silchar Ramnagar’s Don Bosco School Quarantine Center has been declared as a Containment Zone.
In view of this, the District Magistrate of Cachar said that the following areas have been sealed under the geographical boundaries of the area, under the powers vested by clause 12 of Governor of Assam.
These areas are Tarapur VI, VIII, Barak river areas have been identified as buffer zones. Shankar Basti, Shiv Mandir, Chenkuri Road and agricultural land areas of Don Bosco School have been declared as containment zones.
Following the protocols, there will be restrictions in the areas- clear entry and exit points, no unauthorized entry and exit of the resident in the contained area, no unchecked influx of populations, no vehicular movement among other rules.
