Superstar Sridevi no more; passes away after a cardiac arrest
Tragic news coming in from Mumbai film industry that popular actor Sridevi is no more. The actor died late Saturday night in Dubai after suffering from a major cardiac arrest. Sridevi was 54, and was presently in Dubai to attend a family wedding.
A source shared with barakbulletin.com, “Sridevi, along with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi were in Dubai for the wedding. As of now there’s not much details but some family members are rushing to Dubai to be with Boney and Khushi.”
Known for her work in films like Sadma, Chaalbaaz, Mr India, English Vinglish, Sridevi was last seen in Mom that released in 2017. The actor’s elder daughter Jahnvi is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Dhadak, a remake of Sairat.
Born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, Sridevi entered the industry at a young age of four, in a Tamil film. Sridevi entered the Hindi film industry with Julie. She also played Rajnikath’s mother at the age of 13. Apart from numerous awards, Sri Devi was also honoured by Padma Shri by the Indian government in 2013.
Sridevi married to Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor, brother of Anil Kapoor in 1996.
