Sushmita Dev awarded the Shrestha Saansad award

Sushmita Dev, the Member of Parliament from Silchar was awarded the Shrestha Saansad award here at Vigyan Bhawan by Fame Shrestha Sansaad Award 2019 along with 25 others. She was awarded in the category – Dynamism in the Parliament. .

The award is given by the group to honour parliamentarians for their exemplary work.

Union Minister Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of State Manoj Sinha, Giriraj Singh, graced the occasion along with other dignitaries.

Union Minister of State Manoj Sinha said that now a days getting time for constituent and parliament is tough and balancing act which itself is an art of the excellent people.

Union Minister Suresh Prabhu highlighted that as an MP one can do more work outside the Parliament and work together irrespective of party affinity.

Prem Das Rai , MP from Sikkim was the other member from North East India who was also awarded in the experienced MP category.
