Sushmita Dev is Assam Congress’ choice for Silchar in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections

Today Assam Pradesh Congress sent the list of possible candidates to contest in their respective in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The list sent to the party headquarters in Delhi had names of numerous senior Indian National Congress leaders. Out of the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam only three had one possible candidate each in the list. One such constituency is Silchar and the name of the candidate – Sushmita Dev. This clearly means that it is going to be Sushmita Dev contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha election for Congress in Silchar.

Lakhipur: Anil Borgohain, Sailen Sonowal and Yogesh Pegu

Tezpur: MGBK Bhanu, Dilip Baruah, Shantiwaj Kujur

Mangaldoi: Bhubaneswar Kalita, Rupa Rani Das Bhuiyan, Dr. Joynath Sarma

Kokrajhar: Durgadas Boro, Sabda Rabha, Jaman Singh Bramha

Dhubri: Wazad Ali Choudhury, Motiur, Amjad Alo, Abdul Hamid

Barpeta: Sherman Ali, Abdul Khalek, Abdul High Nagori

Guwahati: Bhubaneswar Kalita, Babita Sarma, Ramen Barthakur

Nagaon: Pradyut Bordoloi, Ramesh Bordoloi, Durlav Chamua

Jorhat: Sushanta Borgohain, Gayatri Sandikoi, Brajen Sandikoi, Manjir Gogoi

Dibrugarh: Pawan Singh Ghatoar,  Manoj Dhanoar, Raju Shah

Karimganj: Swapan Das, Raja Das

Silchar: Sushmita Dev
