Tactics to Evade XRay 101: Karimganj Police Uncovers new Modus Operandi of Drug Trafficking

In a recent development, Karimganj Police has shed light on a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking. Acting on intelligence, authorities in Baraigram intercepted a courier package destined for Bangalore, containing a concealed stash of heroin. The package, seized in the presence of independent witnesses, yielded four soap cases filled with the illicit substance.

Karimganj SP, Partha Protim Das, disclosed that this operation unveiled a new modus operandi employed by drug traffickers. He emphasized that the perpetrators had ingeniously wrapped the soap cases in carbon paper, a tactic possibly implemented to evade detection by x-ray machines.

This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement departments to combat the ever-evolving drug trafficking tactics and protect communities from the harmful effects of illicit substances.

As traffickers continually change their tactics, creating new modus operandi, the authorities won’t just sit back. This incident emphasizes the dedication of the police in this war against drugs and making the state drug-free. The investigation into this case is still underway to determine the sender and receiver of this courier.
