Acting on intelligence, authorities in Baraigram intercepted a courier package destined for Bangalore, containing a concealed stash of heroin. The package, seized in the presence of independent witnesses, yielded four soap cases filled with the illicit substance.

Karimganj SP, Partha Protim Das, disclosed that this operation unveiled a new modus operandi employed by drug traffickers. He emphasized that the perpetrators had ingeniously wrapped the soap cases in carbon paper, a tactic possibly implemented to evade detection by x-ray machines.
