Saying goes, “Guilty mind is always suspicious,” after being caught red handed, five teachers went on aggressive mood and harassed the monitoring and supervising officer. All five teachers were arrested by local police. Teachers are the pillars of a nation and these actions from teachers certainly weakens the society.

During the Diploma in Elimentary Education (D.El.Ed) examination in Radhamadhav College Silchar yesterday, five applicants were caught cheating by the monitoring and supervising officer Atasi Dhar Das Laskar. She was on her rounds and in hall number 19 she observed mischievous activities and then approached the applicants. That is when the applicants lost their temperament and started harassing the lady officer. Given the gravity of the situation, the administration informed the deputy commissioner of Cachar, S Lakshmanan. The DC instructed officer in charge of Rangirkhari Police outpost Sahabuddin Bhuiya to go to the examination center and take stock of the scenario.
Bhuiya after going through the CC TV footage and speaking to the monitoring and supervising officer Atasi Dhar arrested, Narsingpur Ballabh Amusana ME school head teacher Ashwin Singh, assistant teacher from the Udharband Tikalpar M.E school Abdul Haq Barbhuiya, Katigara M.E. school assistant teacher Jahirul Alam Mazumdar, Science teacher Ruhinur Begam  from Bashkandi rahmania pre senior Madrasa and assistant teacher Jubeda Begam Barbhuiya from Patharkandi LP school. Arrested Jahirul Alam is also the secretary of the Cachar District ME school association.

Lawyers of the arrested applied for the bail but magistrate Rupashri Deb rejected the bail plea and ordered judicial custody. This is certainly a matter of shame for the entire society and injustice to those who appeared for the examination
