Dead body of a young housewife recovered from Tarani Road on Wednesday evening, restlessness prevails in the area
In a shocking incident on Wednesday night, a housewife was brutally and mysteriously murdered in a lane adjoining to Tarani Road in Silchar city. The name of the deceased is Jhuma Pal. Jhuma had recently got married to a wall painter, Raju Pal. The murder of the housewife has created a lot of concern around the area.
The incident happened at the rented house of Raju Pal. The couple has been staying at the rented house in Abul Kalam Azad Road adjacent to Tarani Road in the city’s Rangirkhari area. The owner of the house is Nazrul Alam Majumder.
According to Raju’s statement, he went out early in the morning like any other day on Wednesday for his work. He called Jhuma on her mobile and talked to her in the afternoon. When he returned home in the evening, he was surprised to see the lock in the house. When he opened the door with the second key he was shocked to see the body of Jhuma lying on the bed in a pool of blood.
His shout and cries alerted the neighbours, who informed the police. The team soon arrived and sent the body to Silchar Medical College & for an autopsy.
According to the neighboring sources, Raju had married Jhuma a couple of months ago. Raju’s native home is in Tripura. Jhuma’s father’s house is in Malugram area of Silchar. According to sources, Raju was married to another woman, who stays in another house in Link Road, Silchar. The owner of the house had recently given notice to Raju for vacating the house because they did not like their behavior. Police is investigating the incident.
