Tragic Accident in Silchar's Badrighat Involving Truck Leaves Three Pedestrians Injured
A dangerous accident occurred at Silchar’s Badrighat area today when a speeding 407 truck, lacking a registered number plate, ran over three pedestrians, leaving them injured.
Eyewitnesses reported the victims were swiftly taken to Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Medical sources revealed the condition of the injured individuals:
Rinku Uddin, 30 years old, sustained multiple abrasions over the left foot and knee. Despite stable vitals, he has been referred to orthopedics for further investigation.
Tanu Mia Mazumder, 52 years old, displayed stable vitals with a swelling and deformity over the left arm and a laceration on the dorsal aspect of the left knee. Investigations are currently underway.
Rita Begum Mazumder, 45 years old, arrived with unstable vitals, swelling over the forehead, and multiple abrasions on both upper limbs. The patient has been directly shifted to the Critical Intensive Care Unit (CICU) without preliminary investigations.
The irresponsible driving triggered local outrage, leading residents to vandalize the truck. To restore order, officials from Cachar Police and CRPF swiftly arrived at the scene.
Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the accident, addressing both the reckless driving and the absence of a registered number plate on the involved truck.
