Tragic Road Accident Claims Life of Flipkart Courier Delivery Boy in Silchar, locals accuse overspeeding Bolero

The Silchar-Karimganj Road near Srikona Daily Bazar turned red this afternoon. A sombre mood enveloped the streets as a harrowing road accident unfolded, resulting in the loss of a young life. In a collision between an overspeeding Bolero SUV and a scooter, tragedy struck as a Flipkart courier delivery boy lost his life. The victim, identified as Mrinal Kanti Paul, met his untimely demise on the National Highway linking Silchar to Karimganj. Mrinal was on his way home in Kumarpara village in the Rakhalkhaler area of Cachar.

On Sunday afternoon, when Mrinal Kanti Paul was riding his scooter with registration number AS 11 Z 5542 back home, it collided with an SUV coming from the opposite direction. The eyewitness on the spot accused the SUV of overspeeding. In this collision, the victim fell off his vehicle and was thrown off due to the force of the collision leading to the fatal outcome.

The Bolero SUV, registered under AS 03 AJ 3213, also fell off the road and overturned. Despite the swift response of the locals, Mrinal succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The authorities promptly arrived at the site, dispatching the body for postmortem examination and initiating an investigation into the incident. The tragic loss has sent shockwaves through the community.

Locals and other commuters travelling through the area gathered to help the authorities shift the mortal remains of Paul from the spot of the accident to an ambulance. The aftermath of this unfortunate event serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the paramount importance of adhering to road safety regulations.
