Triple success for Cachar Police; Stolen handsets recovered, drugs seized

Cachar Police on Sunday successfully recovered 19 mobile handsets which were stolen from different places at different time in Cachar district. Police also arrested 2 persons with this regard.

Sharing the details, Cachar Police in a statement said, “SI Paul Lalhlimsang I/C Rangikhari TOP in the wee hours of the day recovered 08 no’s of stolen Mobile handsets and arrested one Rebul Mazumdar of Ganganaga pt – X , Kachudaram in connection with Silchar PS case no 4400/19 u/s 380 IPC”.

Similarly, Baskandi SI Atikur Rahman recovered 11 Mobile handsets and one laptop with other stolen items in connection with Lakhipur PS case no- 6/20 u/s 380/457 IPC. Police also arrested Md Makbul Hussain with this regard.

In a third success, acting on specific information, SDPO Lakhipur Anurag Sarmah with help of DySP(HQ) A J Baruah and Tarapur TOP staff apprehended 3 persons from Chirukandi FCI area and seized 30000/Yaba tablets of WY brand which amounts 55/60 lakhs in the market.
