Valley Hospital opens COVID ward, will charge Rs 6000 per day to general patients, ICU 10,000

More private hospitals in Silchar are now joining the fight to combat COVID19 infection in the valley. With only 16 beds available in the ICU of Silchar Medical College and Hospital, patients are always looking for alternatives. Valley Hospital located in Meherpur promises to be that alternative. After Green Heals, Valley becomes the second private nursing home to roll out a COVID ward.

The hospital management informed that it is privileged to announce the opening of Covid-19 Care Centre in the Hospital, “pursuant to State and District Covid-19 authorities’ directives.”

Through a media statement, the management informed, “Today Our Honourable MP Dr Rajdeep Roy and Rajdeep Goala (MLA Lakhipur) inaugurated the centre at 9:30 am.”

Adding, “This is for further information of Covid-19 Care Centre for the admission n treatment of Covid -19 patients maintaining guidelines and protocols as devised by ICMR. Patients requiring any further information and guidance may kindly contact Samarendra Deb .9101715604.”

In the COVID ward, Valley Hospital will provide four beds in the ICU, one private cabin, two twin-sharing cabins and 11 beds in general COVID ward.

Bed rent in the general ward is priced between Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000. Seats at cabins will cost patients Rs 8,000 per day while ICU charges are Rs 10,000 per day. All the prices are including food for patients.

Apart from the seat-rent, there is consultation fees, PPE Kit changes, nursing charges, medicines, pathology and other tests.
