Water level of all rivers in Barak Valley is above danger mark

Worrisome time for the residents of Barak Valley. Due to heavy rainfall, the water level of all rivers in the region has crossed the danger mark. The water level, as of now at Annapurna Ghat is steady at 20.30 M since 5.00 am ( i.e 0.47 M above the danger mark).

Keeping in mind the safety of the people, the authorities have stopped the ferry services. It is said that further rainfall may worsen the situation.

The authorities have asked the residents to be alert and stay indoors to be safe.
