Time has come for a war against Pakistan: Dilip Paul
“Pakistan needs to be taught a tough lesson for its audacity of orchestrating the terror attack on the CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir recently,” said Silchar MLA Dilip Kumar Paul on Sunday.
Over 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were killed and many others injured when a car laden with explosives rammed into a CRPF bus – part of a convoy – in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.
The bus which was carrying 51 CRPF jawans and was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar, was hit by a Mahindra Scorpio, which was loaded with over 300 kilograms of explosives and driven by a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) suicide bomber. As a result, over 40 personnel died and many others were injured.
Paul, who was speaking at a programme in connection with the distribution of various items under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana at Hailakandi road in Silchar yesterday, said it has been proved that Pakistan was behind the dastardly attack on the CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir and it should be taught a tough lesson. This will be the real tribute to those bravehearts, he said.
“No more peace talks, the time has arrived for a war against Pakistan,” he said, adding that India does not Kashmiris who are supporting the “terrorists”.
Paul, who was the former deputy speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, said the Narendra Modi government would give a strong reply to Pakistan for its “heinous” act. The entire nation, which is mourning the demise of those soldiers, is with Modi and it wants revenge, Paul said.
Among others, J. Paipei, circle officer and Ashok Dutta Gupta, professor at Gurucharan College were present.
