On his way to Bangalore in search of job, Karimganj youth dies mysteriously; family suspects foul play
22-year-old Alok Das, was on his journey towards Bangalore in a search for a a job. But before he could reach the destination, news of his tragic death knocked home.
Alok, the only son of Anjan Das, from Serulbagh village in Lakhibazar Gao Panchayat area of Karimganj left for Bangalore on Monday, October 14 along with his relative Sashadhar Chanda and neighbor Biplab Das. They left from Badarpur on train. On that day, while speaking at his home, Alok informed that he does not want to move out and rather wants to come back and work in his hometown.
On that night, Alok’s parents were informed that their son jumped off from the train. The tensed parents tried to call his co passengers Sashadhar Chanda and Biplob Das but they could not be contacted. The next day, a photo of Alok’s body lying on the railway line in Andhra Pradesh, got viral on social media, and somehow reached the parents, which broke them.
As per information, the local RPF recovered the dead body and kept it in a hospital morgue.
When they later called Sashadhar Chanda and Biplob Das, both gave doubtful reply. The family is suspecting that the duo pushed Alok out of the train. According to the family members, Alok cannot attempt suicide and thorough investigation is required to find the cause of his death.
Meanwhile, parents of the deceased has lost sense after knowing the death of their only son. Alok’s grandfather has also been admitted to a hospital after suffering heart attack.
On hearing of the incident, MLA Kamalakhya Dey Purakayastha rushed to their home and expressed deep condolences to the family. He has also arranged to bring back the dead body of Alok Das.
