With Kajol Dutta's mother on stage, Tejashwi Yadav takes a jibe at Parimal Suklabaidya in Dholai

The high-profile visits keep on pouring for Barak Valley. To counter BJP’s Manoj Tiwari, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son and opposition leader in Bihar from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Tejashwi Yadav visited Barak Valley today and attended three public events. In Dholai, he was joined by former Congress MP and AIMC President Sushmita Dev. They campaigned for Congress candidate Kamakhya Prasad Mala.

There, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a series of attacks against the ruling BJP government on several issues. He also went on to criticise the BJP minister and running candidate from Dholai Parimal Suklabaidya on the disappearance of Kajol Dutta. They were also joined by Kajol Dutta’s mother on stage.

In the event, youth leader Tejashwi Yadav touched on several issues and tried to emphasize how the BJP has failed on them. He said, “In Bihar, people have seen how they have formed the government by illegal backdoor methods. I’m disappointed to say that the Bhajpa government makes those people ministers who are corrupt and criminal accused. They’re trying to destroy the culture, language and history of Assam. These people are out to destroy everything that Assam represents. Together we have to save it. They don’t follow the constitution, they only follow the agenda of RSS.”

He went even further to attack BJP minister Parimal Suklabaidya by bringing light to the issue of missing Kajol Dutta, who used to be the Dholai MLA’s driver until his disappearance in 2016. Referring to Kajol Dutta’s mother Shefali Dutta, he said “Now this aged mother has been begging and requesting this government with open hands to find and bring back her son. Who’s responsible for Kajol Dutta’s disappearance? Who will find Kajol Dutta? Don’t you people care about justice and want justice for this aged lady? Today this aged mother is seeking justice for her son, if the BJP forms government again, god knows if tomorrow she will even be here or not. And this BJP minister is responsible for all of this. Hence, if you want justice and truth, if you want this aged mother to get justice, if you want Kajol Dutta to be found and criminals to be put behind bars, do support Kamakhya Prasad Mala and make him victorious.”

All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) President and former Silchar MP Sushmita Dev said, “Who made Kajol Dutta disappear? Why is he still not found after almost 5 years? If we form the government, we’ll start an investigation on this missing case two days after forming the government, that’s my guarantee. Today, I want to tell this to Shefali Dutta, that we were with you, we are still with you on this and we will be there for you as well. We’ll make sure that those who are responsible for the disappearance of Kajol Dutta, we’ll drag them to jail if we come to power. This is our guarantee.”

The RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also made some witty remarks during his speech while mockingly criticising his rival party. In Dholai LAC, BJP’s Parimal Suklabaidya will contest with Kamakhya Prasad Mala of Congress.
