“I fear she is dead,” Father of 19-year-old alleges Sonai Road’s Raj Mazumdar has kidnapped and killed his daughter
What has turned out to be a high-profile case in Silchar, the alleged abduction of the 19-year-old daughter of industrialist Monsur Alom Mazumdar has taken a new turn. The owner of Yamaha Showroom in Silchar, Mazumdar went to Superintendent of Police, Cachar Ramandeep Kaur’s office to meet and lodge another complaint. There he said, “I fear she is no more.”
The 19-year-old is a student of Symbiosis institute in Pune. According to Mansur Alom, on October 26, Pune Police, responding to an FIR lodged by him, wrote to the SP Cachar, but the Cachar Police did not take any action.
“My daughter has been kidnapped by Raj Mazumdar of Raj Driving School and the mastermind behind this conspiracy is his mother Parvin Sultana who works at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Today, after meeting SP Cachar, I hope that Police will take some action to rescue my daughter who is in deep danger,” said Mansur Alom Mazumdar.
He went on to say that he has met Raj Mazumdar’s parents and they have been blatantly lying on his face. “They said that Raj is in shock as he lost his son and that is why he has travelled to Haji Ali in Mumbai. His wife delivered three babies and one unfortunately succumbed,” he said. Adding, “Raj Mazumdar’s brother Sahin Mazumdar has been transferring the money to him through PayTM and other means. The mother is orchestrating the conspiracy. They are well aware of whatever is happening.”
Mansur Alom also added that he fears Raj Mazumdar must have sold his daughter’s eyes or kidney or any other organ. “He is very much capable of doing all that as he has a criminal history. Moreover, Rs 50,000 has been transferred from my daughter’s account to the account of Raj Driving School which proves she is under pressure,” he added.
Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning here that Raj Driving School has been vandalised by neighbours of Mansur Alom Mazumdar. On the same day, the missing girl made a video and sent it to a group that had her mother, Raj Mazumdar’s mother, Raj Mazumdar’s wife among others.
In the video featuring her, she states, “Being an adult I have the right to take certain decisions and I have decided to marry him. I know it is the wrong time and probably not the right way, but we had no other option. This is what I think is best for me and I request both the families to not cause any chaos. I am fine and happily married to him.”
Mansur Alom Mazumdar said this video is fabricated and used as a weapon by Raj Mazumdar’s family. “Who is him? Why is she not taking any name? Who has she married? This video is a part of the conspiracy and nothing conclusive.”
The Father of Raj Mazumdar, Manjur Mazumdar countered the allegations and said that his son is not involved in any abduction or kidnapping. “They have always liked their daughter to be in the company of my son. In fact, when it comes to getting their daughter vaccinated, they call my son. To take her to Pune, they call my son. It is strange that they are now pressing such allegations against my son,” he said.
He assured that he will cooperate in all investigations but appealed to the Police that they must investigate as to who vandalised Raj Driving School, the vehicles present there. “Before she left, she has informed her family members about her decision and, strangely, they are now blaming my son,” he said.
“Nothing was informed to us. We just received an SMS from her number. But who sent that SMS? If money is being transferred from her mobile number, can’t they send an SMS,” questioned Mansur Alom Mazumdar, father of the 19-year-old girl who allegedly went missing from Pune.
Mansur Alom raised questions and took a jibe at the Cachar Police, “Cachar is not at all safe for the girls and women. My daughter is missing but the Police did not take any action, however, when Raj Driving School got vandalised, they reached there within minutes with force and started an investigation. We all need to raise our voice as in question is the safety of our daughters and sisters,” said Mansur Alom.
Superintendent of Police, Ramandeep Kaur made it clear that the girl went missing from Pune and the case is under the jurisdiction of Pune Police. “Yes, the family members have come and met me at my office. But the case is being investigated by Pune Police as the girl has eloped from Pune. I have spoken with my counterparts in Pune and we are looking into it as per law,” said Ramandeep Kaur while speaking with Barak Bulletin.
So, has she willingly married Raj Mazumdar who has left a wife and couple of newborns back? Or has Raj Mazumdar kidnapped her? If she is produced before the judge, what will Mansur Alom do if his daughter says she has willingly married Raj Mazumdar? Will he accept the marriage? This high profile case has many loose ends at stake in not just the life of a 19-year-old, but two newborns and the mother too. She is still grieving the death of a child…
