Navami Night Horror: Youth Killed In Head-On Collision With Pickup Van In Lailapur

On the night of Durga Puja Navami on Wednesday (October 1), a tragic road accident in Lailapur, Cachar claimed the life of a local youth. The deceased has been identified as Apu Das, who died on the spot after his bike collided head-on with a speeding Bolero pickup van.

According to family members, Apu had just gotten ready and left home about 30 minutes before the accident to visit Durga Puja pandals. Tragically, his plan ended in disaster when his bike crashed into the Bolero pickup in the Lailapur area, leading to his instant death.

Locals discovered his blood-soaked body by the roadside shortly after the accident and alerted the police. Officers arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the entire accident was caught on a CCTV camera installed at a nearby shop. Based on the footage, police identified the vehicle and later seized it in an operation.
