
Sribhumi: Stolen School Items Found in Jungle, Swift Police Action Leads to Two Arrests
In an impressive breakthrough, Sribhumi Police have recovered several valuable items stolen from a local school, all of which were found hidden in a nearby jungle in Badarpur. The case, which initially raised concern among residents, has now been solved, but how it unfolded will leave you surprised.
The theft occurred on May 27, 2025, at Nabajagrata ME School, situated in Buddha Colony, under the jurisdiction of Badarpur Police Station in Sribhumi. After two days of intense investigation, Sribhumi Police informed that two prime suspects had been arrested, and all stolen items were successfully recovered.
According to the police, the thieves broke into the classroom by damaging the lock. They stole two complete computer sets, one laser printer, one Smart TV, one LED TV, four ceiling fans, one LPG cylinder, and a router. The school’s Head Teacher immediately lodged an FIR after discovering the break-in.
Speaking to Barak Bulletin, SP Sribhumi, Partha Pratim Das, said, “On 27.05.2025, the Head Teacher of Nabajagrata ME School informed us about the theft. After immense effort and relentless fieldwork, our police team arrested two key accused, Iftikar Ahmed and Karan Chanda, last night. Based on their confession, all stolen items were found in a jungle near their residence.”
The police praised the teamwork and coordination shown by the staff of Badarpur PS during the operation. Their swift response helped recover all the school property before it could be sold or moved elsewhere. Locals have also appreciated the prompt action.
Police have assured that the accused will now face legal consequences. Further investigation is underway to check if more people were involved or if this is part of a larger theft chain.
