Summer Vacation Over: Schools in Cachar To Resume Classes From August 1 at Usual Timings

In a significant administrative directive aimed at restoring academic normalcy, the Inspector of Schools, Cachar District Circle (CDC), Silchar, has issued an order mandating that all educational institutions under its jurisdiction revert to the official school timings outlined in the academic calendar, effective from August 1, 2025.

The order, issued by G. Harijan, AES-I, Inspector of Schools cum District Elementary Education Officer, Cachar, on Thursday, applies uniformly to all categories of schools, including Lower Primary (LP), Middle English (ME), High, Higher Secondary, and Non-Government institutions.

This directive supersedes the earlier order dated June 10, 2025, which now stands cancelled with immediate effect. Heads of Institutions have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the revised schedule.

The move comes as part of the administration’s continued efforts to streamline educational governance and bring back uniformity in school operations across the district, in line with academic goals set for the year.

Officials expressed confidence that the measure would enhance consistency in learning hours and facilitate smoother academic functioning.

This is stated in a press release issued by the Regional office of Information & Public Relations, Barak Valley Zone, Silchar, Assam.
