Two drug smugglers arrested with 10,000 Yaba tablets in Badarpur during Police operation
In a significant operation led by the Badarpur Officer in Charge (OC), a team of Badarpur Police successfully apprehended two drug smugglers and seized a substantial quantity of Yaba tablets during a naka checking on the National Highway at Srigouri.
Acting on information from confidential sources, the Badarpur Police initiated the operation, which resulted in the seizure of 10,000 Yaba tablets from the possession of the suspects. The contraband was concealed on a Pulsar bike with registration number AS 11D 8600. During the operation, the police arrested Mahim Ahmed, a resident of Badarpur Khadiman, and Tahir Uddin, a resident of Katigorah.
Authorities have reason to believe that the arrested individuals had been involved in the illegal drug trade for an extended period, operating a thriving drug business in the area. The market value of the confiscated Yaba tablets is estimated to be several lakh rupees.
