In a devastating incident that took place early in the morning, a raging fire erupted at Tikal Tea Garden located in Udharbond, leaving destruction in its wake. The blaze, believed to have ignited in the residence of labourer Cheleram Nayak, quickly engulfed the adjacent quarter of another labourer, Gangaram Kalandi, reducing both of them to smoldering ruins.

Incidentally, the two affected labourers, Cheleram Nayak and Gangaram Kalandi, were working at the tea garden when the catastrophe unfolded. The valiant response of local authorities and firefighters was swift, with two fire engines racing to the tea garden to combat the inferno. Despite their tireless efforts, the flames raged on for over an hour, eventually consuming both the residences.

The labourers lost not only their quarters but also all their possessions, including furniture and cash, which were devoured by the relentless blaze. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities are working diligently to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
