Borkhola: Shop Owner Allegedly Tears Employee’s Private Parts Over Wage Dispute

In a gruesome act of violence, a daily wage worker in Borkhola Part II was allegedly assaulted by his employer during a heated altercation over unpaid wages. The incident took place around 9 PM on April 14, leaving the victim critically injured and requiring emergency medical attention. On Tuesday, Cachar Police arrested the accused and produced him in court.

According to the FIR filed at Borkhola Police Station, the victim worked at a shoe shop in Borkhola Bazar. When he asked the shop owner, Samsul Hussain Talukdar, for his due wages after work, he allegedly denied paying him anything and instead entered into a heated debate with the employee of his shop. The situation escalated quickly. The shopkeeper allegedly began abusing the worker verbally and physically.

In a shocking turn, Talukdar reportedly grabbed and violently pulled the worker’s private part, causing severe tears. The victim collapsed on the spot, bleeding profusely. Locals rushed to his aid upon hearing his cries and called the police.

A team from Borkhola Police Station, led by SI Moniram Kalita, arrived swiftly and facilitated the victim’s transfer to Borkhola Primary Health Centre. Doctors there provided immediate first aid and referred him to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for specialised treatment due to the critical nature of his injuries. Meanwhile, the accused Samsul Hussain Talukdar managed to escape.

After several days of evasion, the accused Samsul Hussain Talukdar was apprehended by Cachar Police on April 22. He was produced in court the following day and, based on the magistrate’s directive, was remanded to judicial custody.
