CM’s assurance: Construction of building for a specially abled person in Sonai begins within 24 hours

On his recent visit to Cachar, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had promised to build a house for a specially abled person who is a resident of Sonai. He had assured the person that the construction of his house would begin soon. Notably, the construction of the house started within 24 hours of the CM’s announcement.

It maybe mentioned that the CM was attending a government programme in Sonai when he came across Mujibur Rahman, a specially-abled individual. Moved by his plight, the Chief Minister extended his benevolence by taking Rahman on his lap and walked some distance with him. It was during this interaction that Rahman expressed his earnest desire for a suitable home to the Chief Minister.

Responding with empathy, CM Sarma promptly instructed the District Commissioner to make the necessary arrangements for building a house for Rahman within a week. Astonishingly, the wheels of action began turning immediately, as within 24 hours of the Chief Minister’s directive, the Cachar District Administration commenced the construction of Rahman’s new dwelling.

In a video statement released to the public, elated Mujibur Rahman expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. Today morning, building materials arrived, and the construction has started.”

This exemplary act of kindness and the expeditious response from the local administration showcase a strong commitment to the welfare of specially-abled individuals and the rapid implementation of essential projects.
