A tragic road accident has claimed the life of a tea garden labourer in Kalain’s Konapara area. The incident, involving a speeding Alto vehicle, has left the local community in shock.

The victim, identified as Budhu Karmakar, was walking along the road near Konapara Tea Estate when a speeding Alto vehicle struck him. The collision caused severe injuries to his head, leaving him critically wounded. Local residents rushed to the scene and promptly transported him to Kalain Health Centre for immediate medical attention.

Despite efforts at the health centre, Karmakar’s condition worsened due to the severity of his injuries. He was referred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for advanced treatment. Sadly, Karmakar succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at SMCH.
