IAS Reshuffle: Cachar DC Aayush Garg Transferred, Rahul Kumar Gupta Appointed New District Commissioner

The Assam Government on Wednesday (24 June) transferred Cachar District Commissioner Aayush Garg and appointed Rahul Kumar Gupta as the new District Commissioner of the district as part of a fresh administrative reshuffle.

According to a notification issued by the Personnel (A) Department, Aayush Garg, an IAS officer of the 2016 batch, has been posted as Managing Director of Samagra Shiksha Axom Mission. He was serving as the District Commissioner of Cachar.

Rahul Kumar Gupta, an IAS officer of the 2019 batch and the current District Commissioner of South Salmara Mankachar, has been transferred and posted as the new District Commissioner of Cachar.

The notification also stated that Jay Vikas, an IAS officer of the 2021 batch and District Commissioner of Udalguri, has been transferred and posted as District Commissioner of Hailakandi.

In another posting, Aditya Vikram Yadav, an IAS officer of the 2018 batch and Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Welfare of Minorities Development, Barak Valley Development and Irrigation Departments, has been given the additional charge of Director of Training at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara.

The orders were issued by the Governor of Assam in the interest of public service and were notified by Simanta Kumar Das, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Personnel (A) Department.
