Om Sai Gym Fight Over Music Leaves Manager Injured in Cachar, One Arrested

A dispute over music at a gym in Udharbond, Cachar, escalated into a physical altercation, leaving the gym manager injured. The incident took place at Om Sai Gym and was captured on the gym’s CCTV cameras.

According to the gym authorities, the dispute began when a 90s Bollywood song was being played inside the gym. Sagnik Gupta from the gym management alleged that a man identified as Azhar Barlaskar objected to the music, switched it off and took the phone playing the song outside the gym.

Gupta further alleged that when gym manager Pritam Deb went outside to retrieve the phone, Barlaskar grabbed him and pushed him towards a glass structure outside the gym. Deb’s head struck the glass, causing it to break. Gupta said a transformer was located nearby, but Deb’s head did not hit it.

The available CCTV footage provides a visual account of the altercation. The footage shows two men coming out of the gym while engaged in a physical fight. A man wearing a red T-shirt can be seen hitting and pushing the other man before eventually shoving him towards an area outside the camera’s view. When both men return to the camera’s view, the man in the red T-shirt can be seen with blood on his hand.

Following the incident, Pritam Deb was taken to hospital, where he reportedly received stitches. The gym authorities and Deb subsequently approached Udharbond Police Station and lodged an FIR.

Police have arrested Azhar Barlaskar in connection with the incident. The case is now under police investigation.
