Silchar Otaku Winter Festival Charms Anime Enthusiasts with Seasonal Delights

Gone are the days when families gathered around the TV to watch the same shows or films. In this era of abundant choices, from cable TV to the current dominance of OTTs, entertainment options have expanded exponentially.

Anime has emerged as a significant preference among these diverse options. Silchar boasts a robust anime fandom, affectionately known as Otakus. Recently, the “Silchar Otakus” community orchestrated an Otaku Festival, providing a liberating space for anime aficionados in Silchar.

The festival hosted spirited competitions, including a cosplay contest that saw enthusiastic participation from residents and visitors alike. Attendees donned elaborate costumes portraying their beloved Anime Characters from a multitude of series.
