
Three Seriously Injured in Head-on Collision at Berenga, CCTV Captures Crash
Three young men were seriously injured after a motorcycle and a scooter collided head-on at Berenga in Silchar on Friday (July 31). The accident reportedly occurred when one of the riders attempted to avoid a pothole on the damaged road, causing the vehicles to lose control and crash into each other.
According to local residents, all three injured riders sustained serious injuries in the collision. People nearby rushed to the spot, rescued the victims and immediately shifted them to a hospital for treatment.
Hospital sources said all three are currently undergoing treatment in critical condition. One of the injured, identified as Junaid Ahmed, is said to be in an extremely critical condition and has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The impact of the collision was captured on a CCTV camera installed at a roadside shop. The footage shows the motorcycle and the scooter approaching from opposite directions at high speed before colliding head-on. Within moments, local residents gathered at the scene and rushed to help the injured.
