Fire at Bihara Bazar in Cachar: 12 business establishments gutted down, damage worth lakhs of rupees

A fire today broke out at Bihara Bazar in Cachar. 12 business establishments were gutted down in the fire. The incident took place at Station Road, Bihara Bazar. The damage caused by the fire is worth lakhs of rupees.

The fire broke out in a business establishment on Station Road in the afternoon. Soon it started spreading to other shops. The Fire brigade was immediately informed about the incident.

12 shops on Station Road were completely gutted in the fire before the fire brigade came from Katigorah and Kalain. Though the locals tried to extinguish the fire yet 12 shops got completely destroyed alongwith the goods. The fire was later brought under control by firefighters. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The damage is worth lakhs of rupees.
