Bike rider killed in collision with Minister Parmal Suklabaidya's convoy vehicle at Kalain

ln a tragic incident, a bike rider was killed in a collision with a vehicle used as an escort car for Minister Parimal Suklabaidya’s convoy. The incident took place at Kalain’s Dhumkur located in Cachar district. The deceased has been identified as Safiul Islam aged 43 years, a resident of Bihara. He had gone out to bring iftar items but unfortunately died.

The vehicle bearing registration no. AS30 8883 was heading towards Guwahati when it collided with a bike at Kalain’s Dhumkur. The impact of the collision was so severe that the bike rider fell on the road and died on the spot. The vehicle was used as an escort car for Minister Parimal Suklabaidya’s convoy, and it was heading towards Guwahati to bring the minister.

The incident has caused great sorrow in Bihara and Kalain area. The deceased’s body was sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination. The Kalain police intercepted the vehicle after the accident. The investigation into the incident is underway, and more details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.

Speaking to reporters the brother of deceased Safiul Islam said, “My younger brother was killed by a Bolero car belonging to Minister Parimal Suklabaidya’s convoy due to overspeeding. We want justice for him. I called the local MLA and I will also call Minister Parimal Suklabaidya by night and inform him about the incident.”
