Suspicious death of housewife shocks Udharbond: Two detained as investigation unfolds

Sensation was created in the peaceful town of Udharbond following the mysterious death of Karishma Talukdar, a young housewife whose demise initially appeared to be a case of suicide but has since taken a disturbing twist. Karishma Talukdar, a resident of Anandabazar, Baksa, had married Pallab Das, the son of Deben Das from Rangiya, just four months ago. The couple had recently moved to Udharbond for work-related reasons, hoping for a new beginning.

However, tragedy struck unexpectedly, casting a shadow of suspicion over the circumstances of Karishma’s death. Late on Monday night, Pallab Das made a distressing phone call to Karishma’s family, informing them that their daughter had tragically taken her own life by consuming poison. Distraught, the family immediately made their way to Udharbond. However, upon their arrival at Ghunghoor Police Station the next morning, they were met with a shocking revelation.

Contrary to Pallab Das’s initial claim, the Police revealed that Karishma’s death was not caused by poisoning but rather by strangulation. The stark contrast in accounts between the police and Pallab Das immediately aroused suspicion among the grieving family, leading them to file an FIR at Udharbond Police Station, specifically accusing Deben Das and Pallab Das of foul play.

Responding promptly to the filed complaint, Udharbond Police wasted no time in launching a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Karishma’s untimely demise. The police’s diligent efforts paid off as they succeeded in apprehending the two individuals named in the FIR.
