"Ajmal's hate speech is Himanta Biswa Sarma's dictation," Ripun Bora; Questions CM's silence on anti-Hindu remarks
AIUDF supremo Badaruddin Ajmal sparked a controversy by making inflammatory statements, provocative at best and derogatory at worst. He demeaned the Hindu community by stating that Hindu males engage with several women without any commitment and only marry after the age of 40 but by then they lose the capability of producing children.
“The Hindus must learn from the Muslims and get their daughters married at the age of 18-20 and only then they can expect progress. You should sow seeds when the land is fertile. Only then you can expect a good harvest.” said Ajmal while referring to low fertility rate among Hindus.
Portraying him as the messiah of Muslim women he took a jibe at the Chief Minister of Assam and offered him four Muslim girls to practice love Jihad.
“Since you’re one of the most powerful politicians in India only second to Narendra Modi and Amit Shah why don’t you elope with four-five Muslim girls yourself. Practice Love Jihad. Let us know where you have kept them and we will reach out to you with sweets and not with intent to fight or rebel” Badarauddin Ajmal added.
Today, All India Trinamool Congress’ Assam President Ripun Bora shared his reaction to these inflammatory statements. “AITMC vehemently condemns the derogatory statement made by Badaruddin Ajmal. It is not expected from the president of a political party who also happens to be the member of parliament.”
Bora added, “The hate speech delivered by Badaruddin Ajmal is a dictation of Himanta Biswa Sarma. Recently the Assam Chief Minister went to Gujarat in order to campaign for the BJP but it was a flop show. People of Gujarat still remember his statements against Narendra Modi back when Sarma was in Congress. Especially the one where he stated that the blood of Muslims flow through the water pipes of Gujarat.”
According to Ripun Bora Badaruddin Ajmal is hand in glove with BJP and the hate speech is a part of BJP’s game plan. The former colleague of Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bora questioned Assam CM’s silence in this particular case.
“We have seen in Assam, BJP and its wings like BJYM lodge FIRs against innocuous statements made on social media. In this complaints, they allege that Hindu sentiments were hurt. Why is the same political party and its wings in Assam are silent when the speech delivered by Ajmal was filled with hate amid derogatory remarks against the Hindu community. This silence itself proves that this is a team play to polarise the country’s voters when there is an election going on at a state in the world’s largest democracy.”
It is worth mentioning here that Ripun Bora is in Silchar to attend the executive committee meeeting of the Trinamool Congress. In this meeting the TMC’s Cachar wing is likely to chalk out it’s plan for the upcoming municipal corporation elections.
