Badarpur-origin Curzon Choudhury has been inducted as a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer this October. Abidur Reza Choudhury aka Curzon Choudhury is the newest recruit of the NYPD who cleared the police officer examination last July and was formally inducted recently. Curzon left India back in 2019 and since then has been a citizen of the United States. Both his parents also left India for the United States.

On October 5 this year, Abidur accepted his office of duty ceremoniously which gathered greetings and congratulatory messages from all across his hometown. Abidur has always wanted to become a police officer and when he left India, he didn’t want to sacrifice his goal. Even in the USA, he kept his fitness training on to get into the NYPD. Last July, he successfully cleared the Police Officer Examination.

Both of Abidur’s parent have been living in the United States since 2014. His mother was the Head Master of 215 Mohakal LP School who took voluntary retirement in 2013 and left for the US a year later. Abidur’s cousin has informed the media about his success. He has also informed that all his siblings are also employed in different departments under the US government.
