Bees attack men while trying to extract honey; SDRF jawans rescued them from a 300-feet tall tree

In a shocking turn of affairs, three men got brutally stung by bees while they attempted to harvest honeycomb. Today afternoon, Sohit Rajbangshi a 32-year-old resident of  Larsing tea estate in Udharbond spotted a massive beehive at 300-feet height on a tree. He informed his friend, 21-year-old Pramesh Sharma and both of them climbed up to extract honey.

As per eyewitnesses, the moment Sohit touched the beehive he got brutally attacked. “We saw him in discomfort and within the fraction of a second, he lost his control and slipped. As he was about to fall off the branch at that height, his friend, Pramesh Sharma managed to hold his hand and somehow save him. By then the bees went wild and started biting both of them.”

The eyewitnesses say, they thought both of them lost their consciousness and were somehow hanging by the tree. Local resident, 38-year-old, Mohit Goswami climbed up to save them but got stung himself. However, Goswami managed to tie them and himself with a rope to save them from falling free.

The locals informed the administration and SDRF jawans rushed to the spot with a tall ladder. After running the rescue operation at a war-footing for hours, the SDRF jawans managed to rescue all three stuck at 300-feet height.
The officials informed that two of the three are in critical condition and all of them have been rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.
