Cachar Cancer Hospital to get new ambulance; MOA signed

A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed between the Cachar district administration and Airport Authority of India in Silchar on Tuesday evening.

The MOA was signed at Cachar deputy commissioner’s office at 4:30pm last evening in connection with a financial assistance of Rs. 13.724 lakh under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Cachar Cancer Hospital for an ambulance.

Cachar deputy commissioner Laya Madduri, Cachar Cancer Hospital director Ravi Kannan and some officials of the Airport Authority of India were present.

Cachar Cancer Hospital, set up in 1966, is the only medical hub in Barak Valley that offers specialised and affordable treatment to cancer patients. It is located at Meherpur in Silchar.
