
Cachar Issues Prohibitory Order Ahead of Combined Competitive Prelim Exam
The District Magistrate of Cachar has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2025, scheduled to be held on July 5.
The examination will be conducted at three centres in Cachar district: Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Silchar; Government Girls’ Higher Secondary and M.P. School, Silchar; and D.N.K. Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Silchar.
According to the order, no person other than candidates and officials connected with the examination will be allowed to enter or remain within a 100-metre radius of the examination centres on July 5.
The order further prohibits candidates from carrying mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or any other materials that could be used for unfair means inside the examination halls or rooms. Any violation of the order will attract legal action.
The prohibitory order came into force on July 3 and will remain effective throughout the examination process. It has been issued by Rahul Kumar Gupta, IAS, District Magistrate of Cachar.
The notification has also been circulated to the concerned authorities for information and wide publicity, including the Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, the Secretary of the Assam Public Service Commission, the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, the Superintendent of Police, Cachar, and the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Assam.
