Cachar Police launches operation against “Teer”; Arrests two with gambling items

Assam police has apprehended two persons from Matinagar and confiscated materials of Arrow (Teer: sort of archery based gambling game) and cash money from them.

Kachudaram Police detained these two agent of gambling game from Matinagar bazar on Saturday. Police carried out a drive against illegal gambling activities in the Matinagar area and arrested two person, who are allegedly running gambling activities since long time.

A team of Kachudaram police led by OC Bipul Biswas carried out the operation and apprehended Sanchay Paul (27) and Binod Song (21), police also recovered tickets of Arrow, cash money and two mobile handset from them.

Apprehended persons will be handed over to Lakkhipur Police as Matinagar comes under the jurisdiction of Lakkhipur Police station, informed the OC of Kachudaram police.

“After getting the information e e have carried out the operation against illegal gambling in Matinagar area. We searched a grocery shop and got hold of Binod Singh and recovered tickets of Arrow. Then we have searched another shop and arrested Sanchay Paul and confiscated cash money,” OC of Kachudaram Police station told the media persons.
