Car loses control in Silchar - Aizawl road; Falls 30-ft deep in a ditch

A Maruti Suzuki Ciaz fell off the Assam Aizawl Highway into a 30 feet deep ditch. On Friday night, this car was speeding through this road near Sonabarighat when it lost its control. It is being said that, the driver along with his friend were driving “Bollywood style” and that’s when the accident happened.

While the car was passing a bridge near Sonabarighat, the car’s speed was high and it even broke the railings of that bridge to feel into the low land. Both the passenger and the driver are said to be the residents of Sonabarighat only. Their reckless driving in the darkness of the night made them fall off the bridge. Both the passenger and driver got severely injured due to this accident.

They have been identified as Shamim Mazumder and Sunny Mazumder. The locals rushed to the spot after the said accident and evacuated these two men from inside the car. Later they were sent to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
