From 'Janta Curfew' to appeal against 'panic buying' here are the highlights of PM Modi's speech
India has been fighting Corona pandemic wholeheartedly so far. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare took significant steps to generate awareness among people and successfully managed to limit the infection from spreading like a wildfire. Yet people of India are panic buying, stocking up groceries and N95 masks, sanitizers, and soaps. A while back Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and appealed to his countrymates to remain patient as he believes, resolve and patience is key to fight Corona Virus.

Every Indian should remain alert and aware. Don’t step out unless absolutely necessary.
Suggested those between 60-65 years old should stay inside their homes.
Asked the whole country to follow Janta curfew from 7 am to 9 pm on March 22.
Asked Indians to thank service providers by clapping for five minutes at 5 pm on March 22.
Urged people to avoid going to hospitals for routine check-ups. Postpone elective surgeries.
Assured that the Finance Minister will take all necessary action under the Economic Response Task Force.
Appealed to businesses, high-income groups to not cut salaries of their employees.
Citizens should not indulge in panic buying.
