Court issues show cause notice to Silchar DSA over Udharbond SA issue, Sports body in unwanted legal trouble

The Silchar District Sports Association is embroiled in an unwanted legal tussle after poking its nose in the internal affairs of the Udharband Sports Association (USA). Despite several allegations, Sanju Roy’s old USA committee was validated by the District Sports Association. The new USA committee has twice written to the DSA in opposition to this and appealed to reconsider the decision. But DSA did not respond. They did not even feel the need to reply to the letter. As a result, the new party of the USA filed an application in the court challenging the decision of the DSA. The Hon’ble Court accepted the case.

The old committee of the USA is illegal and Silchar DSA has unlawfully approved it. Also, the District Sports Association has given Sanju Roy the opportunity to represent the illegal committee. The new committee of the USA approached the court with these two issues. Alongwith that, the new committee has also requested the suspension of BGM of Silchar District Sports Association. The court accepted the plea of ​​the new committee and also issued a show cause notice to DSA. The DSA has been asked to explain why the court should not issue stay order on BGM.

The case was registered in Civil Judge One. Advocates Nirala Singh and Arpan Roy are fighting the case for the new committee of the USA. The next hearing of the case is in August. The DSA has to respond before that. The significant thing is that despite the court case, DSA will be able to conduct the upcoming BGM. However, by accepting the application against Sanju Roy’s old committee, the court gave a clear indication that it has doubts about the validity of Sanju Roy’s membership. There are also question marks over his representation in the DSA.

Even after all this if Sanju Roy is allowed by DSA to represent in the BGM and if the verdict of the case goes in favour of the new committee then the whole BGM, in all likelihood will become invalid. So now it remains to be seen whether DSA allows the USA representative to take part in the upcoming BGM. Besides, since the case is now in the court, how much will the Silchar District Sports Association proceed with BGM in such a situation?
